Billy Burt Ballah, 78, of Grants Pass died Sunday September 13, 2009 at Royale Gardens Health & Rehabilitation Center.
A graveside service with Military Honors with be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Eagle Point National Cemetery with Pastor David Johnsen
of Calvary Lutheran Church officiating. Grants Pass Funeral Alternatives is in charge of arrangements.

Bill was born December 9, 1930 in Molalla, Oregon to John and Ruth Ballah. At 18 he joined the U.S. Army and served 3 years in Korea earning 5 bronze stars. He was honorably discharged in 1952. He moved to Grants Pass where he married Audrey Brink. They later divorced.
In 1969 in married Roberta Kyte. They divorced in 1995.
He worked as a logger for many years. In 1967 he joined the laborers union and worked in heavy construction until he retired in 1985,
moving to Van Buren Maine. He later returned to the Grants Pass area becoming active in the VFW in Rogue River.
Bill was very much an outdoors person, loving hunting, fishing and hiking in the woods.
He is survived by:
Sons Bert Ballah of Grants Pass and Bill Ballah of Ellsworth, Maine
Step Daughters Cindy Boyl of Grants Pass and Christina Kyte of Beaverton
Sister June McCourtney of Canyonville
Brother Jack Ballah of Grants Pass
Nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by brothers, Adrian Ballah and John Ballah
